An experienced Accounting Technician based in Montreal that is looking for an exciting chance to take on a unique challenge with tremendous opportunity to grow within a thriving organization.

Ideally you have about 5+ years experience in accounting and preferably within a related industry (i.e. apparel, retail, and/or ecommerce).

As the company’s Accounting Technician, you will be working closely with the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including inventory / COGS and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Complete sales tax and corporate tax filings across Canada and the USA, accurately and within deadlines
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
• Handle general accounting tasks and generate financial reports.
• Assist with audit preparations by organizing and providing necessary documentation.
• Prepare journal entries, record transactions, and conduct analysis to ensure accuracy
• Identify and resolve account discrepancies by reviewing documentation and making necessary adjustments
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and full counts periodically.
• Inventory three way matching between PO, BOL at reception of goods, and Invoice.
  

Qualifications:

• Have a positive attitude, be a good team player, and a strong work ethic.
• Certificate, or DEC, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting within a related industry.
• Experience in an environment with fast-growth is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, financial software and ERP systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The position requires fluency in English, and French is an strong asset. The candidate must be willing to work on evenings and weekends.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fit Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of fabrics and materials used in production, while maintaining a strong focus on adhering to technical specifications and standards. Your responsibilities will include working closely with manufacturers, performing fabric tests, and analyzing various samples to validate them against technical data.

• Follow up with manufacturers on purchase orders (PO) to validate patterns and confirm alignment with spec sheets, tech packs, and other technical documents.
• Analyze tolerance (TOL) data, in-line samples, and fabric samples to ensure they meet required specifications, quality control standards, and lab dip reports.
• Complete data sheets for inspections, fabric reports, and other relevant documentation.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of fabric types and characteristics.
• Conduct wash tests and perform analysis and measurements on fabric samples.
• Communicate feedback, comments, and corrective action plans (CAP) to production teams.
• Perform in-house fabric tests to deepen understanding, including GSM, pilling, handfeel, wash tests, and colorfastness.
• Manage fabric-related documentation, including specifications and certifications.
• Approve lab dips and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the correct colors are produced.
• Work with Designers to validate fabric performance against established standards.
• Test care labels, logos, and trims for performance and compliance.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive fabric library for easy reference.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of fabric testing, technical specifications, and quality control processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and manufacturers.
