WHY WE MADE THIS

Most shorts fall into one of two categories. They either look good and feel restrictive, or they feel comfortable but look too casual for anything beyond a lazy Sunday. We were tired of choosing between the two.

The Short was designed to deliver the best of both worlds. It has the clean, polished look of a classic chino short, with the comfort and flexibility you expect from your favourite everyday pieces.

The stretch fabric moves with you, while side elastics provide a more forgiving fit that adapts naturally to your movement. Belt loops, a functional fly, and a zippered back pocket make these shorts easy to wear no matter what is on the agenda. Whether you are heading to brunch, the golf course, running errands, or meeting friends for dinner, these shorts are built to keep up without ever looking out of place.

MATERIALS

We started with premium cotton for its softness, breathability, and natural comfort. Nylon was added for durability and wrinkle resistance, while spandex provides stretch and flexibility throughout the day.

The result is a fabric that feels comfortable from the moment you put it on, maintains its shape, and resists pilling so it continues to look as good as it feels.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Machine wash cold with like colours.
  • Tumble dry on a low setting, or line dry for best results.
  • Never use bleach or harsh softeners.
  • Avoid washing with heavy or zipped items (like jackets or jeans) that could snag or pull the fabric.
  • Wash inside out.
  • Cool iron if needed.

    Très bon produit.

    J’accorde 4 étoiles seulement parce qu’il y a 2 boutons à la taille. Je trouve un peu difficile à attacher. J’aurais préférer 1 bouton avec un agrafe en métal. Mais je vais quand même recommander votre produit. 😊

    Amazing looking and super comfortable

    I didn’t know what to expect when preordering these, I have almost everything. Manmade sells, so I should have known it would be amazing. I put them on right out of the package and wore them all day long. I didn’t want to take them off as they were so comfortable. Imagine a smart looking casual/golf short but it feels like you are wearing your favourite athletic shorts. They are so light and soft, you can wear them for any activity, and still throw on a nicer shirt with them to go out later and look dressy. I already want a second pair. The darker colour blue goes with everything. Another winner here.

    The short! Court !

    J’ai bien reçu ma commande , le pantalon court est de bonne qualité, bien fait et j’apprécie qu’on puisse passer une ceinture . J’aurais mieux aimé que la poche arrière avec un zipper soit sur la fesse gauche ( je ne sais pourquoi certaines marques mettent à gauche la poche et d’autres à droite? Moi je préfère la gauche. Ou 2 poches arrières )

    Mais je m’habituerai !

    The Long of the Shorts

    The shorts story is that my wife loves them.

    Although I love the fit and comfort of them, she loves the simple classic look of them.

    If they wear like the previous purchases I’ve made from ManMade, which I think they will, they’re a great pair of shorts to add to your closet.

While both are designed for everyday versatility, they're built for different purposes.

The Swim Shorts are made for the water first, featuring quick-drying fabric, a supportive liner, and a zippered back pocket , while still being comfortable enough to wear from the beach to lunch.

The Shorts are our elevated everyday option, with a chino-inspired design, belt loops, a functional fly, and a more structured fit that's perfect for work, golf, travel, or fun summer outings.

How do I determine the right fit? Which size Shorts should I buy?

Our sizing is based on body measurements rather than garment dimensions. If you already own the pants, we recommend ordering the same size for the shorts for the best fit.

Waist Sizes:

  • SMALL: 28–30"
  • MEDIUM: 31–33"
  • LARGE: 34–36"
  • EXTRA LARGE: 37–39"
  • EXTRA EXTRA LARGE: 40–43"
